Around 6:30 p.m. night before last, the light cast from a lingering afternoon sun coupled with a gentle breeze carrying that unmistakeable scent of early Summer reminded us of two things.
Numero Uno...We need to get to a baseball game. Stat.
Numero Dos...Fleet Week has once again sailed into New York City.
Coincidentally, if there's one thing we love around here, it's a man in uniform.
And so, whether you spend the long Memorial Day weekend sipping Salty Dogs streetside in Lower Manhattan while enjoying the parade of man-bums in their dress whites, manhandling a mojito on the sand in Santa Monica, or simply sharing brews and brats with your buds in the backyard, take a moment to raise your glass and salute those in uniform who have served and sacrificed for us all.
